On November 18th and 19th , 2022, the RISE JHANSI Incubation Center hosted its first open-to-all hackathon for startups and entrepreneurs. Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi Smart City Limited, Jhansi Incubation centre, and Incubation Masters collaborated to host the event. 250+ applications were received from students/innovators/start-ups in various sectors like Agriculture, Healthcare, Technology, Tourism, Robotics & Drones , Cyber Security and many more from all across India. The event drew more than 35 startup teams & 150 participants. This two-day long event to drive ideation and innovation around various components of the smart city mission. This hackathon provided an excellent opportunity for Bundelkhand’s entire innovator community.

Special attention to the event was when Shri Kunal Kumar, IAS Joint Secretary & Mission Director, Smart Cities Mission interacted with various participants and shared his thought on how startups and innovators should pursue their startup dreams.
We invited a diversified reputed jury and mentors including Mr. Srinivas Kondapi, an Expert Advisory committee member of Startup India Seed Fund Scheme, Ms. Nabomita Mazumdar- President of India Awardee, Mr.Rahul Narvekar – Founder CEO – The India Network, Mr. Pankaj Chawla- Founder & CEO MSME Strategy Consultants, State President – Delhi (MSME & Startups Forum – Bharat), Mr. Akash Sharma – Co-Founder & CEO at Farmley (Formerly known as TechnifyBiz), Ms Preeti Chaudhary – Founder & Director, PC Advisory and many others.
Apart from live demos of prototypes, RISE JHANSI incubation centre also organized various entertaining events like LIVE MUSIC CONCERT to motivate and boost up the participants and other attendees, also it consists of thematic talk sessions by industry and academia experts & panel discussion.
The winners
First Prize : Shivangi Bundela, the founder of the startup “ABROSAA,” won the first prize of 51 thousand INR. 2nd Prize : Mr. Vipul Jha, the founder of “SOWL” won the second prize of 21 thousand INR SOWL provides an all in one travel guide containing all essential information, collected and shared in one place
3rd Prize : Dr. Syed Shujat Haider Jafri the Founder of “Stufit Approach Pvt. Ltd.” Won third prize of 11 thousand INR. Stufit Approach Pvt. Ltd. is a healthcare focused company. Started operations with the flagship Health Screening Program for school-going children in India
“Women Entrepreneur to watch out for” – Neelam Sarangi Founder of “Bekaar ko Aakar” . Bekaar ko Aakar converts solid waste material into beautiful articles, won the Award for the best Women Entrepreneur to watch out for and won the prize of 11 thousand INR.
Social Media Enthusiast: Team BucAudio Won the prize of 5 thousand INR for winning the award of Social Media Enthusiast by posting more than 60 posts in 2 days. BucAudio provides the most affordable, organized, and structured way of study which will help in spreading education among all age groups, in all languages, and in all categories.
Certificates were also given to all the participants and volunteers who attended the RISE JHANSI Hackathon.
This Hackathon was One of Uttar Pradesh’s most successful hackathon, which promoted and fostered innovators from a variety of industries who were willing to take on new challenges, experiment, and find solutions to problems in the real world.
